Homestay Introduction
The value of an academic education is
enriched by our home stay program. Each student has
the opportunity to live with a personalized Host, and practice conversational
English daily, giving you the opportunity to learn English at a faster
rate. Because Hosts open their hearts as well as their homes, many
students develop lifelong friendships with them.
Intercultural Homestays and Services, Inc. will secure a host for you before you leave your home country.
Hosts may be couples with or without children, or singles.
Intercultural Homestays and Services, Inc. will carefully select your
host according to the information provided by you on your
application whenever possible. All hosts are screened and interviewed in
their homes by Intercultural Homestays and Services, Inc. prior to placing
students. Our first concern is to find the safest available home for each
individual. We do our best to meet as many of the student expectations as
possible.
Home stays are most successful when the students
and agencies coordinating this experience communicate regularly and
effectively. Students are encouraged to call our office at any time.
In addition to room board Hosts provide a warm,
caring home away from home. Your Host will offer friendship! Be sure to
ask for it.
